About
Our History
During and after COVID, the notary industry changed. Remote work, rushed transactions, signing platforms, vendor networks, and outsourced processes created new pressure on notaries — while many of the same systems failed to protect them.
Too often, the notary is the first person blamed when something goes wrong, even when the issue may involve a platform, vendor, signing service, title company, or broken industry process.
NNC was created to help shift that dynamic.
Our mission is to give notaries a place to organize, a way to be heard, and the data needed to support what notaries across the country have been reporting.
Through advocacy, awareness, transparency, the National Notary Coalition works to bring attention to late payments, non-payment, vendor misconduct, platform accountability, data privacy concerns, scams, misclassification, and other issues affecting notaries nationwide.
The National Notary Coalition is a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization.

NNC operates independently and is not controlled by vendors, signing services, or signing platforms.
